About Me ❤️
Hi, I’m Lisa — the hands behind Steel Rain Pottery.
Every piece you see here is handmade in my home studio. I throw, glaze, and fire each item with intention, care, and a little chaos — because that’s how real life works, and that’s what I want my pottery to reflect: pieces that are perfectly imperfect, made to be held and used every day.
The name Steel Rain is a tribute to someone very special — my Great Dane, Noah, whose AKC name was Steel Rain. He was gentle, massive, soulful, and completely unforgettable. The name also nods to a song by Chris Cornell that’s always stuck with me — moody, powerful, and beautiful in its own way.
My work runs the spectrum from calm, earthy bowls to bold, loud mugs that cuss a little. Some mornings call for peace; others need attitude. That’s why every batch I make is different. I follow the mood, the glaze, and the clay.
Thanks for visiting — it really means a lot.
I release new pieces in small batches, and no two are alike.
